NEW TABERNACLE
As we begin this month of honoring our Blessed Mother, St. Mary’s will begin fundraising efforts in order to purchase a new Tabernacle for the church. The tabernacle unites the Blessed Sacrament with Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. The tabernacle, from Molina of Spain, features an image of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception on its doors. The vividly colored image is rendered with enamel and fired for durability. Its unique split dome
supports a Cross and two angles on columns standing on either side of the doors. As part of our fundraising efforts, our parishioners will be receiving a personal letter, inviting each of you to make a personal donation
to help the parish reach its goal to cover the cost of this beautiful tabernacle. I want to thank you in advance for your participation in this exciting and life-giving project!
Blessings to you all,
Fr. John
Next weekend we’ll be handing out a questionnaire in preparation for the Synod in October in Rome. We’ve been asked to pass out a questionnaire in regard to the perception of the church locally and universally. The questionnaires will be in the pew with pencils for you to complete. Thank you for your input during this critical time for the Catholic Church.
The CCD children will celebrate their First Communion on Sunday, May 22nd at the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Everyone is invited to join this celebration.
This Weekend, May 14th & 15th, we will have a second collection for the poor and homeless in our community.
