The Holy Name Society traces its roots to the Council of Lyons in the year 1274.and was formally recognized by the Church in 1571. The Holy Name Society is committed to helping its members grow in holiness through devotion to the Most Holy Name of Jesus. and promotes reverence for the Sacred Names of God and Jesus Christ, obedience and loyalty to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, and the personal sanctification and holiness of its members. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month in the Parish Social Hall.
Altar Society Officers and Fr. John Gordon, OMI, Pastor
The goals of the Altar Society are to promote and encourage devotion to Jesus through Mary, the Mother of God, to cultivate the leadership of our members so that they may better participate in the mission of the church, to develop the spiritual and material projects that our Pastor and our Parochial Vicar may suggest to the Society, to promote and encourage awareness of the history of St. Marys Catholic Church, and continue to welcome visitors as well as parishioners. Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month in the Parish Social Hall. New members are always welcome.
